Bill Burns, Vice President, Global Health & Life Sciences
William (Bill) Burns has developed a wealth of experience serving with, and working for today’s most advanced national and international Healthcare organizations. Bill currently serves as vice president of Global Health & Life Sciences at Hitachi Data Systems where he has responsibility for worldwide solutions delivery and go-to-market strategies in Health & Life Sciences. Bill has extensive experience in the digital healthcare arena, including point-of-care disease management systems, diagnostic imaging, ambulatory patient monitoring, clinical research platforms, and regulatory compliance. He has proven instrumental in setting the leadership foundation in the development of technology-enhanced clinical and business initiatives for HDS clients.
Bill has served on the healthcare advisory boards of Microsoft, 3M, McKesson Corporation, The American Red Cross and Gillette Children’s Hospital. He is a lifelong member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the American Management Association. He is also a featured speaker at several national and international forums on the topic of healthcare strategy and digital transformation. Prior to joining HDS, Bill severed as the president and COO for National Digital Medical Archive, Inc., a national provider of advanced medical storage and analytics technologies.
Dave Wilson, Senior Director, Global Health & Life Sciences
Dave Wilson has been in healthcare his entire career, seeing things from the front lines and working through the different aspects of the system. Today, Dave heads up the Health & Life Sciences business development strategy at HDS.
Previously, as a technologist in Nuclear Medicine and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Dave experienced the demands on healthcare professionals first hand. Learning from this experience Dave moved into the vendor side of the industry in Product Management, Marketing and Sales and Service. Before coming to HDS, Dave served as vice president, Agfa Canada responsible for Sales and Service focused mainly on the radiology business. Dave’s travels have taken him all over the world to experience healthcare on a global scale, bringing a wealth of knowledge to the Storage STAT blog.
