NASA’s Martian rover Curiosity recently went through a complete computer software overhaul. The details of this can be found here.
NASA engineers planned to upgrade and replace 4 GB of data, remotely transferred from Earth to the primary and secondary computers, which are 140 million miles apart. I guess the NASA experience blows away my estimation of $7,000/TB for array-based migration!
