Ranked 284,364

Several times a week, I check on my Dallas Mavericks, to see where they are in the NBA standings. This week, I also checked out my own standing on the estimated 55 million bloggers. According to Technorati, I am ranked 284,864. I am so happy, think I will add this to my Christmas letter……
I would have hoped that more conversations could get started in the IT space around economics, IT justifications etc. This topic is not just for storage, but for servers, virtualization (I do see VMware talk about this), labor reduction, electricity reduction etc. There has to be more people working on justifying complex and costly IT infrastructure right?
Perhaps everyone is consumed with end-of-year-hardware-firesales to be too interested in lowering OPEX costs, just needing to spend those last few CAPEX dollars (yen, pounds, euros, won, pesos, ringitts).
